Gujarat Titans are committed to bringing in football talent

After cricket, Gujarat Titans (GT) are going to invest in football. The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise has no plans to field a team in ISL or I-League. After Kolkata, this time Gujarat Titans - this franchise of IPL has taken the initiative to bring out the football talent of the state along with cricket. Their aim is to find football talent from different parts of Gujarat. Basically the age limit has been fixed up to under-14. Gujarat Titans signed an agreement with LaLiga.


The Gujarat authorities have signed an agreement with the Spanish football league authority LaLiga to bring footballers to India. Gujarat Titans has taken major steps to bring in football talent from different parts of the state. In addition to picking up footballers, the youngsters will also be encouraged to play on the pitch. The project is named 'Junior Titans'. Gujarat Titans will conduct multiple camps in each district of the entire state. Miguel Casal, technical director of the La Liga football school, will attend the camp. The aim is to find Sunil Chhetri of future.

When will this camp start?


Junior Titans camp will be organized every Saturday from January 20. The camp will be held in Ahmedabad on January 20, Vadodara on January 27, Surat on February 3, Rajkot on February 10, It will be held on February 17 in Bhuj and again on February 24 in Ahmedabad.


Camps will be held in different cities and villages of Gujarat. Experts will select cricket and football talent from those camps. If someone is enthusiastic about any other sport, that too will be encouraged. Anyone under 14 can participate in the camp. The camps will be attended by Miguel Casal, Technical Director of the LaLiga Football School.


What did the Gujarat CEO say about this project?


COL. Arvinder Singh, CEO of Gujarat Titans said, “The primary aim of the Junior Titans project is to create enthusiasm for sports among young boys and girls. The LaLiga authorities have come forward for cooperation. In today's busy time, almost all children are confined to their homes. It does not develop holistically. We want to teach them the game in a fun way. Not at home, we want kids to play on the field. First five cities have been selected. Many schools have shown interest in participating in our project.

KKR has taken the initiative to bring out football talent 


Incidentally, KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) has taken initiatives to bring football talent from several districts of West Bengal. But that is only for the betterment of women's football. A joint initiative of KKR and Mir Foundation has started football training by selecting 50 girls aged 10-20 years from Rajnagar block of Birbhum district, West Bengal. KKR and Mir Foundation are working hand in hand with 'Srija', a non-governmental organization based in Kolkata.
