The eyes of the cricket world are now on the new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ever since the publication of the retention-release list of ten franchises in November last year, the mercury of excitement began to rise. The same feeling as the transfer of stars from one camp to another on the 'deadline day' of team change in the football field arouses excitement among the fans, the same feeling was found in the cricket field.

Return of Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans (GT) to Mumbai Indians (MI) via trade window after publication of courtesy retention list. Then the IPL auction on December 19 was also eventful this time. Pat Cummins made history by touching the price of 20.50 crores. He was also overtaken by Mitchell Starc. Kolkata Knight Riders have increased the excitement of the upcoming IPL season by spending 24.75 crores to sign the Aussie pacer.
