What a incident! Even though the middle stump was broken, the wicket bail did not fall

Middle stump broken, batter not out too. This is also possible. Although it seems really unbelievable, recently such a wonderful incident has happened, which has created a sensation in the cricket world. In cricket, baskets are recorded every day. Some records are surprising. That's how many strange things happen on the cricket field. But it was not known that such an event could happen. And so there is a fuss. ACT Premier Cricket, considered the third division in Australia, is where an incredible event took place.

The middle stump is broken by the bowler. But the bail did not fall on the cricket ground. Then the umpire decided what? Even opening the book of cricket law, which cannot be explained. All in all quite a shocking incident, as no one would have thought that such a thing could happen in his collision. Those who keep track of the cricket laws, have lost their heads.

What happened in this match?

Ginninderra Cricket Club's game was against West District. West District opener batsman Matthew Bosustow was clean bowled by Ginninderra pace bowler Andy Reynolds. Andy and his teammates also started the celebration. Suddenly it was noticed that the middle stump was knocked down but the bail did not hit the ground. Apart from mid-wicket, both bails are still upright at the head of off and leg-stump. Such a surprising event has not been seen before in cricket world. Usually, there is a slight gap between the two (2) bails. Two bails are placed at a distance between three (3) wickets. As a result, if the wicket moves or falls, the fall of two bails are inevitable. But in this case, how the two bail offs and leg stumps remained intact, the research can continue. What happened after that is quite surprising. The umpire gave Matthew not out. The uproar has started over what the cricket law actually is.

After being clean bowled, Mathew took a walk towards the pavilion. After going some distance, he realized that he was not out. Because the bail did not fall to the ground. He returned to the crease again. He is seen talking to two umpires on the field for a long time. After that both umpires agreed. Not out is given to Mathew.

What is said in Cricket Law?

What does the law say? It is written in the MCC law book, when the wicket is broken, at least one bail falls from the head of the wicket, one or two stumps are knocked off the ground, then the batter is considered to be out. According to Law 29.22, if there is a problem with the bail, if the whole bail does not fall from the head of the wicket, then if the middle wicket is broken, it is considered to be out.

It is understood that the two umpires on the field did not understand the law of cricket despite seeing two undamaged balls on the off and leg stump. Made a wrong decision. And the debate has started with that. However, there is no denying that how Bail survives the fall of middle stump is a matter of research.

The same thing happened in the past

Controversy has been created about this decision. Even after the middle stump was removed, how the two bails on top of the stump remained stuck in one direction without recourse, made one wonder. But in 2017, the batter was given out in just such an incident. Indian origin batsman Jyotinder Singh was dismissed in a club cricket match in Australia. Even after the middle stump moved, Bail was stuck on the other two stumps in two strange ways.
